Hi, I’m Bev Gardner, Ed.D, LPC, and I founded It’s Okay because I believe therapy should be a place where you can finally put down the heavy armor you carry every day. In a world that constantly demands "more, faster, better," I wanted to build a practice that honors the quiet power of simply being human. I’ve seen firsthand that when we stop fighting the fact that we aren’t "fine," we actually unlock the energy we need to grow. At It’s Okay, my mission is to provide you with that rare combination of total acceptance and a clear, actionable path forward. My Journey & Expertise With years of clinical experience, my career has been dedicated to the art and science of human connection. I’ve spent my time in the field helping individuals navigate the messy, non-linear parts of life—from the weight of anxiety and burnout to the uncertainty of major life transitions. My perspective is global yet deeply personal: I understand that while the digital world connects us, it can also leave us feeling isolated.
